When choosing parquet, it’s not just about wood species or colour. Specific finishing techniques can give your engineered wood floor a completely different dimension: brushed, aged or band-sawn… each technique gives your floor a unique and distinctive appearance.
BRUSHED
Do you like a pronounced texture and clearly visible wood grain? Brushed parquet is treated with various brushes that remove the softer fibres, making the natural grain patterns more visible and tactile.
AGED
Aged parquet adds extra authenticity to your interior. The planks are tumbled to create natural dents, scratches and small indentations in the top layer. The result is a characterful hardwood plank floor that looks as if it has been lived on for years.
BAND-SAWN EFFECT
Looking for a slightly rougher, more artisanal look? The band-sawn effect may be the perfect choice. The band saw creates fine transverse lines on the surface, resulting in a handcrafted finish, just as if the planks were freshly sawn.
