Oak Nine, giving wood a second life

With the Oak Nine collection, Belgiqa translates circular thinking into a high-quality parquet floor. This floor is made from recycled wagon planks that were intensively used for many years in transport and industry.

Each plank carries visible traces of time and use. Cracks, knots and grains are deliberately preserved, giving every floor its unique character. By reusing this wood, we reduce the demand for new raw materials and actively contribute to a circular and sustainable wood supply chain.

Responsible production

Smart use of energy and resources:

Heating with wood waste: our production facilities are heated using our own wood residues, a circular system that prevents waste and conserves natural resources.
Electric mobility powered by solar energy: our fleet consists entirely of electric vehicles, charged using energy from our solar panels. This significantly reduces the ecological footprint of both production and transport.

At Belgiqa, sustainability lies in thoughtful material choices and long product lifespans. With high-quality oils and stains, we protect the wood, reduce wear and make maintenance easier and more sustainable.

Production and construction

In the production of our engineered parquet floors, we use water-based adhesive systems. These adhesives are selected for low emissions and durable bonding, ensuring long-term structural stability.

Finishing with respect for the material

Our oiled finishes nourish and protect the wood while preserving its natural appearance and structural stability. They are composed of natural, plant-based oils and waxes and have a microporous structure, allowing the wood to breathe.

Low emissions and a healthy indoor climate

When selecting finishing products, we carefully consider emission values and suitability for residential and working environments. We deliberately choose low-emission systems suitable for indoor use, contributing to a pleasant and healthy indoor climate.

Colour and protection with durability in mind

In addition to oils, we use professional stains to colour and protect the wood. These stains are selected for colour stability and efficiency, ensuring long-lasting aesthetic quality. Controlled application and high-quality products reduce repeated use and unnecessary material consumption.

Healthy indoor air, CARB2 compliance

In the past, formaldehyde was widely used in construction materials, posing serious health risks, including cancer. At Belgiqa, we strictly comply with CARB2 and E1 standards, ensuring our products are formaldehyde-free. This compliance is recognised by both the European Union and the United States, contributing to healthier indoor environments free from harmful chemicals.

Support for LEED certification

Sustainable construction goes beyond materials alone. Our products are designed to support LEED-certified projects, a globally recognised benchmark for sustainability. Using Belgiqa products helps projects meet LEED requirements for locally sourced materials, efficient waste management and environmentally responsible production.

FSC®-certified wood on request

At Belgiqa, we work with wood every day. It is the foundation of our craftsmanship and our passion. That is why we take our responsibility towards nature seriously. Through FSC® (C129924) and PEFC (PEFC/07-32-356) certified supply chains, we make this commitment transparent and verifiable. Our Chain of Custody provides architects and construction partners with clear assurance regarding origin, traceability and responsible forest management.
